Where We've Been...
In the middle of the 2010’s, God placed a call upon the hearts of a few to reach the many by planting RockPoint Church in the quickly growing area of Schertz/Cibolo. In partnership with Vision Texas and Converge Southwest, our church has been committed since its genesis to reaching the northeast corner of San Antonio with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and planting other churches who would do the same.
After a few years as a portable church meeting at a preschool and an elementary school, RockPoint was able to move into its current location in Schertz between the Dollar General and Arlans. As we look back at the last 10 years of ministry, it’s incredible to consider how many lives locally and around the world that have been impacted and forever changed as a result of RockPoint living out our unchanging mission of “Helping all kinds of people meet, know, and follow Jesus.”

Where We Are Going...
We are excited to embark on the NEXT STEPS of our journey together as we continue to pursue the vision God has given our church! Although we have been grateful for the tremendous asset of having our current location to call home, it has only been a temporary solution in this current season of ministry. As God continues to move and the church continues to grow stretching the limits of our current space, the time has arrived for our church to prepare for the future vision of RockPoint!
This future vision will culminate with having our own stand-alone facility as a resource allowing us to serve all kinds of people in our community and spread the hope of the Gospel for years to come. Make no mistake, our NEXT STEPS are about far more than buildings. They are about creating even more space for people to experience authentic, Gospel-centered community where they can connect, commit, and be cared for.

NEXT STEPS: Step One
For this future vision to become a reality, it will undoubtedly take everyone’s partnership in the process. This begins with STEP ONE, raising $250,000 by the end of March 2027 to build out our next lease space (est. 8,500-12,000 sq. ft.). This will be a pivotal step in the life of our church, paving the way for our future vision to come to fruition.
